This would be rather painful at the time having a botfly or mango fly larvae in the eye, I would say the guy made a full recovery.
A botfly infestation in a dogs nose gets removed poor thing but I am sure he will be fine, these are either botflys or mango worms.

I couldn’t think of a worse place to have a botfly, I am not sure if this would of effected the vision but it did not look like it was in the pupil or the iris to me it looked like it was in the sclera but it is really hard to tell with the footage.

I wouldn’t be to concerned about this dog although it would of been a bit uncomfortable for it, these botfly larvae are a fairly common occurrence in Africa where I suspect this video has been shot.
